Flowmaster Delta 40

I purchased a Flowmaster Delta 40 muffler from a friend to install on my '03 2.7 prerunner.

Has anyone installed this unit on their truck?

The ultimate question is will it work properly?

I have read that the 60 series is popular, but hey, he gave me a killer deal on it.

Thanks for the input.

What is the size of the muffler?
I think the most common size is 2.25". Flowmaster it all depends on how you want it to sound mainly, with the different series.

It is 2.25 in and out. My buddy says it is for a 5.0 Mustang.

The way I figure it, I have half of the cubes and h.p., so it should work?

Thanks for your input.

i've heard a non-delta flow FM 50 and that thing was LOUD. a 40 is even louder.

what im saying is just be prepared for something significanltly louder than stock.

I have it on my 3.4L. I love the way it sounds. It is definately louder at lower rpms, lets out a nice roar, as you get above 3000 it quites down.

I've got one on my 22re. Its loud and I love it, 2.25" single in/dual out. The displacement and all that doesn't really matter, except for the sound its going to put out. As long as you set up you're piping right, you shouldn't have a problem.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the answers to my question.

Consider it installed this weekend.

I am soo waiting for the rumble of that Flowmaster.

I installed Flowmasters on my '93 Lightning years ago, and it made an incredible difference.

I am not expecting the same results with a 2.7 4 cylinder, but anything will help.
