Flat spots on accelleration in 2nd.....
Full throttle accelleration 0-70mph.
1st gear runs through pretty damn quick without problems. Tranny shifts quite quickly into 2nd and the rpm goes from 5600 rpm from 1st to 2800 or so in 2nd.
In 2nd gear the rpms slowly climb to ~3300rpm and then drops to ~3150rpm, then continues climbing unabated.
This is all at full throttle, gas pedal stuck to the floor....
torque converter acting stupid or fuel delivery problem?

My first thought is that it's a fuel problem. I'd check the adjustment on the TPS and replace the fuel filter if it hasn't been done. Other tune-up stuff may be in order if it hasn't been done in a while.
That's all I can think of.

Did the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and ignition wire about 500 miles ago OEM of course. The flat spot got much better but is still there. Replaced the old fuel filter at ~230,000 miles, so about 21,000 miles ago.
TPS aye? hmmm....
If not the TPS, and not the ignition, it would have to be fuel delivery then right? Could a faulty injector do this somehow?
Also, as my engine IS older than dirt, I likely have a lot of carbon build up inside it. Could that cause this too? (If so, it's getting motor vacc'ed soon.)
