First Mod of the Summer!

Well I finally got the balls to get rid of the chrome off my rear bumper. Since I figured I wouldn't be getting a custom one anytime soon, might as well make my stock one look "custom"

to save bandwidth, all pics are here:

http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~rtam/Rear...Rearbumper.htm

anywho, thanks to Christian for his advice on painting. Even though this was all done with just 2 cans of spray paint, sandpaper, and a can of acetone

Oh, and thanks to Bob for constantly reminding us to have protection when painting, cuz if I didn't buy a mask, I would have lost a good amount of brain cells -_-

Even though I kinda like the chrome bumper yours looks pretty good. Really does look like you have a custom bumper and will look even better when your you get the front bumper too.

hey nice job man.

is that accenting (the rubber and chrome stripe above your sliders on the doors) factory, or did you buy them?

Thanks for the replies guys, as for the accenting, I bought my runner used, and that's how it came. I was actually planning on taking it off, but since I have so much black now, I think I might leave it on.

Again thanks for the comments, since this was my first paint job.

The bumper looks good but I would vote for removing the accenting. It would look much more clean IMHO.
