FINALLY ordered the lift

After much contemplation and debate - finally ended up going with

front: OME 881 / N91s

Rear: Deaver 3 leaf progressive AAL / N85

I was orginally going to go with the Tundra coils up front - but I really didnt want that much lift, and didnt want to be dealing with any CV problems...so anyways when I finally get some pics I will post them.

As far as tires I want 32x9.5 but that is easier said then done - I know super swamper makes them - but I need something with a less aggresive AT style tread....I might try to squeeze 33x9.5 BFG AT under there but I am worried about making allready bad gas mileage worse - plus the rubbing issues.

so if anyone can recommend a 32x9.5 or 32x10.5 tire that has a less aggresive tread that would be great.

pics to come!

2.0" initially - settling to 1.5" hopefully

the deavers in the rear give 1.5"

I know there are plenty of 32x11.5 15s out there - but I want a narrower tread -10.5 or 9.5

Wow a 9.5 is a narrow tread... Personally I would go with a 32x10.5, since they are a little more common...

Post pics after you get the lift on!

Tundra coils would have given you 1.5" without any spacer nor extended stud. Mildly cheaper, too?

Neil,

I just couldnt really get a definitve answer of people running tundra coils on their xtra cab tacos - one guy said he got 3" or something....I dont know, just went the safe route - doesnt mean I wont switch over to the tundra coils in the future when more taco specific info is out there

I've searched and searched and it looks like the ONLY 32s for 15" wheels are the 32x11.5" - damn this is frustrating.

Without going with super swampers, which just wont happen because of all the x-way driving I do, I am just going to have to get the stupid wide 11.5!

I mean WTF!

You'll have to let me know how you like the deaver 3 leaf aal. I'm split between the aal and the full replacement pack.

will do pinnacle - just to add something here - wheelers has them for 169.00 - quite a bit cheaper than a replacement leaf pack, at least half price or so. But I suspect like many things you will get what you pay for.....but people seem to be very impressed by the deaver aal ride.

also - I found THESE

Now these Dunlop 33x10.5s have a diameter of 32.3" - really pretty damn small for a 33" tire -

The BFG AT 32 has a diameter of 31.7 and people fit these with 881s

even more suprising the Dunlop has better revs/mile: 676 vs 655 for the BFG AT 32 - suggesting it would get better gas mileage

I wonder if those dunlops will fit as they are just what I am looking for -theyre basically a big, narrow 32

i just installed tundra coils up front with andy's spacers. i got an additional 3" in front. making it 39 to the edge of the fender flare from the ground. was 36.

that gives me about 6" of space between the fender flare and the tire if i ever get to flex it that much. I will try to get my pics up. can i host pics here on yotatech? or do i need a site?

According to this, TireRack BFG makes the AT KO in a 33x9.5x15 that measures 32.7 x 9.5, that might work for you.

If you could actually find somewhere that had them in stock maybe they would test-fit them for you so you could see if they would work or not.

if you ar eworried about being too big, just settle on a smaller size.... 31x10.5 will be fine for daily driving... my truck is a 42, but has basically 7" of lift, it looked good with 31s, but i had some 235/75/15 muds in the back yard that were almost new, so i put them on... yeah its a little bit smaller, but it does behave better on the road... however they are dunlop muds and these jsut suck....
