Here are some rough pics of the fender flares I just got, not the greatest pics because my camera doesn't do well around little light.


Should I color match them at the paint shop if the price is decent, or should I leave them black? I do like the look of them color matched:

black, and i too wonder about the stick? where'd you get that, how much did it cost? i would leave the stick its normal color too.

 

lol, thats holding the back of the flare on there, I just got them today and haven't had time to put them on. Truck is going back into the paint shop tomorrow to get sanded and buffed, will put the flares on afterward. I just pulled a flare out of each box to test fit them.

 

i was pretty sure thats why the stick was there. those flares look great. how far do they stick out? i've got some 33x12.50's and the flares i have right now don't cover the tires. do you just drill and mount or do you do any cutting? im been looking at getting some bushwacker cutouts to replace what i have, and am thinking about cutting the wheel wells a little larger then mounting the flares. are yours just made to mount or would they work if you cut some sheetmetal as well?

 

They don't cover my 32x11.50s completly they leave probably about 1/4-1/2 of tread uncovered, which is fine my me. I haven't gone through the instructions yet but judging by the dimples on the inner fenderwell portion of the flare, I'm assuming I will be doing some drilling. I dunno if they would work after cutting some sheet metal.... could probably make them work. I'll try to take some better pics when I get around to putting them on and let send them your way.

 

i just went out and looked at my truck and if cutting was involved, and were to do front and rear trimming, i would cut into my gas door, and dont want to do that, so body lift is really starting to look appealing. are those the widest flares they make or is there another width available?

 

Not sure, would have to call the guys at 4wheel parts, they are the only online dealer that I know of that deals in warn's flares. I've been scoping these flares out for a while cause they look similiar to the artic truck flares and I'm not to fond of the bushwacker flare look.

By the way, anyone know the part number right off hand to the molding that toyota uses around their flares?

Definatelly paint to match! I think black looks better on white trucks. My .02

 

i painted mine flat black and love em! didn't like the whole glossy look. but i say leave em black or paint them flat black

I voted black without really looking at the pix. Now I say color match them. My opinion is that black trim looks good on light colored trucks, chrome trim looks good on dark colored trucks. Some reds and blues are neutral and look good with either. That said, plastic is tough to chrome plate to match the rest of your trim so color match it.

 

I'd say color match them. I have the same color paint on my 4Runner and that's what I'm going to do if I ever get the cash to order a set of flares in the first place. I agree with what everyone else has said. On light color vehicles like white or grey the unpainted flares look pretty good. It won't be ugly by any means, but I think that if you've got the cash to get em painted you should go for it.

I bought the warn 4x flares.

 

Red and black go together.

 

If you want the rugged, aggresive look of an off-road vehicle, leave them as is.

If you want a stylish looking vehicle, match them to the existing color of your vehicle.

 

my vote is paint them.
