Fed Up

I go into basically the only truck modification place in my area today and man was it disappointing.....here I am waiting to spend a few thousand dollars and these guys treat you liek your bothering them...i asked the guy about ordering me a tjm front bumper..he says "theyre like 1200 plus its gonna be alot to ship it" and moves onto another customer... these guys are such pricks...one good thing was i saw a tacoma there with a fabtech 3.5 inch lift and i liked it alot....if i ran a fabtech 3.5 inch lift and lets say a 32 inch tire, would that even be resonable on a 2.7 liter or would it not be worth it...i basically want bigger tires with as little struglle as possible...try asking these guys they dont want to even talk to you.....

id work on performance. The 2.7L motor is a dog. If you have a manual transmission than its not bad but if its an automatic its well not so great. Work on intake,header/exhaust/gears than get bigger tires.

as long as your gearing is up to it, you can pretty much spin any tire..... 3" lift will probably be cool with 32s... gotta watch rubbing issues though... not 100% sure.... but tjm i dont think are 1200 plus shipping... look around on the web... i swear i see them for like $600 range

Definetly gears are the way to go. you can run almost any tire size if you re gear your diferentials. 32's will definetly fit, might rub in extreme situations. I don't know how much i would spend on performance, it's not going to help you much with the 2.7. I have a 2.4, and i put on headers, hiflow 2.5 inch exhast, intake, the works, and it really didn't give me enough to run any bigger tires. It's definetly noticeable at stock tire size, but it's not enough. If you want to run bigger tires, you gotta regear.
TJM's are NOT 1200 bucks, unless you let them install it. The bumper probably 6-8 hundred, and all you need to install it yourself is some wrenches, and a couple strong guys to hold it up while you bolt in on.
my .02. Good luck

regearing wont hurt gas mileage it will help with bigger tires.

but plan on spending some dough, its not a diy project for the average joe. i got quoted like 12-- to do both the front and rear on the taco. but i then decied i didnt need 35's or any more lift.

I wouldn't spend one red cent at a place that treated me that way. Then when your all modded up ,go by and ask them to look at your truck to see if an expen$ive item will fit on it.Then just bail without saying a word.
