Factory fogs for 98?

I was wondering if the 98 4Runner had foglights as an option, or what? I havent seen anything for 98s, but I like them. If they dont make them (I dont really see a place for them in the bumper), do I have the option of swapping to a 99 bumper that does have the holes???

There was a dealer installed option for Hella Fog Lamps mounted to the sides of the license plate. PP sells a kit.

$150 less 15% right now.

Cool, So how do you like them, and how much did they end up costing you?

Origionally I wanted to buy a PP front spoiler like what Jason B has, but they are just too expensive.

I think that they were $80ish. The guy had two auctions, i lost the first at $110 (luckly) and I won the second auction.

They are pretty good, They help light up the lower portion where the headlights miss. I do like how the install (wires, switches, etc) were made for the 4Runner and everything fits perfict.

PP sells the exact kit, both are made by hella.

Not factory... but they didn't cost me $80 either. $25 at AutoZone. I'm sure the install is a little more work that the factory setup, but to me it was well worth the savings.

I don't really have a closeup of them when they are off, but they are basically the same fit.

Those lights look good!
I have had bad expierence with autozone lights (Pilot and KC) so I stayed away from those brands. I have had good luck with Hella (I also have 500's that i need to install).

Yea... the pilots are exactly top quality lights... but they are decent, and for the price they are a pretty good deal. This is my second set of Pilots - my first set help up pretty well until I went though a fairly deep water crossing last winter. They filled up with water and the water froze. The housing cracked, and the reflective liner inside the lamp deteriorated. They still worked, but the light output was noticable reduced.

I had a similar problem with the pilots that were on my Ranger, they would get condensation inside and the housing rusted making the chrome peel off. But it lasted 2 years before doing that, not bad for the price ($40)
