Fabricators!!! I'm calling you out!

What would it take to make this for a Toyota 8"? And how much?

3/16" hell why not 1/2" plate, looking at the pic for the top they use a piece of angle iron 3/16", together going to be around 75 no more that 100$ depending on where u get it from for me its like 50$. to start out with that U bolt concept id make a C channel that snugs onto the bottom of the axle rather than a piece of angle iron, figure out a way to prevent it from snagging, best thing u can do is draw it out, and avoid welding anything to the axle such as making mount, etc, u dont want any arcs jumping inside the axle shafts, or ball bearings in the 3rd mem. ill look at it more and throw out more ideas

why do you need an axle skidplate? there isn't really any vulnerable parts on a toyota axle, unless you're into rock jumping...

that is a stupid solution to a simple problem. If you are worried about messing up your housing, have it plated in the vulnerable areas. It would work better and would save your clearance. this has been done countless times by countless people. its super easy and the best way to go....

would be kinda fun, but yeah it is somewhat crossing the line, a truss or something to that extent would be the ideal solution for making the axle more rigid, as for me im all about strength
