Try looking here. I'm sure you can dig up some info from it.

Might find some info here too.

Having your vehicle info in your sig or listing that for info such as this would be a great help for anyone trying to help you as well.

your not gonna get much out of just an exaust, you'll get the throaty tone, but no real power. if you want power, do the deckplate mod, ISR, headers and exaust. all together you may get 20-30hp@the wheels.

So far i liked the FLOWMASTER the best. All of them sounded good at idle many were too ricey when revved. Sounded like my buddie's Prelude.

I doubt that the I/H/E combo would make 30hp to the wheels. Maybe 20, but the headers would be like almost 2/3rds of that power.. and cost 5 times more then the ISR, deckplate and exhaust together..

I have the ISR, deckplate and a 18" Magnaflow.. I didnt really notice any more power, but it sure makes a neato sound. I'm guessing maybe all these mods make 5hp to the wheels, maybe... But I like the fact that my truck sounds different then all the other Tacomas out there.

If you really want more power, save up for a S/C.

I actually just got my stock muffler put back on after a few years with the aftermarket. Dont know if I had a bad muffler but after getting the stock back on the runner idles alot smoother, feels like its actually got more power (especially low end) and just seems like it drives better. Of course that could be the airaid mit that I put in while I had the muffler as this is the first time I'm driving it with the stock muffler but I doubt it would affect it that much. The thing about the muffler is that it made my 4runner seem more like a truck, which I liked, and now after having the stock one put back on, it seems more car-like. While I'm going to miss the sound it made (except for the drone in cab) and the compliments I got with it, I am glad I switched it back to stock for the most part. It is way too quiet now though

Hey jmpage;

I'm Running a 14" Dual-outlet Stainless Magnaflow muffler on my 3rd Gen, IMO the Magnaflows Straight through design is a good match to our V6's.. Just remember that the shorter the muffler the louder its gonna be. Its hard to say if just a muffler will give you what you are wanting, but with me I have a 4" Deckplate, TRD performace filter, ISR done, TRD Headers, MagnaFlow muffler, dual outlets.. I felt better Throttle response with The Intake and Headers done... And felt A little more lower-end torque with the Exhuast... And my Exhuast is really nice and deep and throaty... My Muffler cost me $$110 CDN
