Hmmm time to start surfing eBay for some better sounding exhaust. Maybe gut the cat.

It's been a topic of pretty heated discussion here at YT. I realize you may not have known that and suggested it with good intentions (power increase). However, for 95% of the rigs on this forum removing a functioning cat won't do anything but stink and move the power curve of the engine around. A better alternative is to go with a high-flow cat from Car Sound or similar should one feel their stock cat is not functioning properly.

The issue here is mostly that there are misconceptions surrounding removal of a functioning cat. It really doesn't do much but pollute the air we all breathe for minimal -if any- gains in power.
