Electric Woes
Ok, I posted a while back about my engine catching on fire and the electrical system going haywire recently. I am happy to report that I have gotten rid of the battery light that came on everytime i started my runner. Now, it doesnt wanna start, it just clicks, and Ive searched around and even spent 6 hours trying to get to the starter to get it rebuilt with no success. My complications come from this: I can jump start the rig using a portable jump starter without it even flinching hesitating. So i ASSUME that my starter is OK and that I should just replace my battery, the thing is that I spent my money on an optima yellow top about 1.5 ago... so I am in denial that the battery is broken. On top of this, upon a successful, everytime that I go to use an electrical accessory the lights dim, the amps cut off, the speakers POP and the windows move slower than molasses. Im hoping that it is just the battery, but I know that the car runs off of the alternator once it is running, tomorrow I am going to check all my grounds and run the rig to Autozone to get the problem diagnosed... I am really just hoping for some advice on simliar experiences. Thanks

Without a multi-meter and you reporting some readings to us, it's just going to be a speculation fest. If the battery is under-charged, Autozone is going to have to slow-charge it for a day before they will know if it can recover. What concerns me is that you are getting dimmed lights and slow windows with the vehicle running, which indicates ALT problems, which could also explain a poor charge to the battery.
