Eaton M62 Supercharger question...

So I've discovered that the first gen. supercharger many people are using is the Eaton M62. This supercharger is used in many different makes and models other than Toyota. My question is could I buy an Eaton M62 from a pontiac, lets say, and buy the adapters, etc. to fit the 1997 4runner? The reason I ask is I found this link on Ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-93...8#ht_500wt_956

I understand this is (or I think) just the body of the supercharger, and I would need the intake adapter, etc. If anyone has a little more information about this I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Ya an intake specific for the 4runner would need to be bolted on, just have no idea where to start looking or what else would need to be done to get this put on or if its even possible. Hopefully someone has had some experience or knowledge of this.

Good find! I have no idea about an adapter but for 125 buck it would almost be worth giving it a try

The intake on that supercharger is on the opposite side of the drive, which would put it toward the firewall on the 4Runner, therefore making it nearly impossible to fabricate an intake due to lack of clearance.

I'm also pretty sure the TRD s/c has an application specific mounting surface/bolt pattern so that on it's own would prohibit you from using it.

that s/c wont work throttle body would be interfering with the fire wall.
use the m62 off a nissan frontier. the t-body is on the side opposed to the back and when mounted in your truck will face up.
heres one...

if i were you i would make an adapter plate and bolt it to the lower plenum.
let me know if you have any questions ive been reasearching this for a while and plan on doing soon, but first megasquirt lol.
