E-Brake dash light won't go off

Last weekend I replaced my rear inner oil seals, and my rear brakes. I had a leak and the brakes were covered in oil.
I got everything back together fine, only now the light on the dash that normally lights up when the e-brake is pulled is constantly going on and off.
There doesn't seem to be anything that is specifically setting it off, anyone know where the sensor is that triggers the dashlight? The light will go on and stay on when I apply the e-brake, but when I release the brake, the light will still come on randomly while driving. Anyone know if this is like a check engine light for the brakes? The brakes work fine as far as I can tell.
