E-brake

Does anyone know how possible it is to just move the E-brake from the center console to some other place, possible a foot brake. If I can get rid of that E-brake it will open a lot more room for my radios in the center console, instead of all over the floor.

Find an earlier year Tacoma or 4Runner that had the hand brake just to the left of the radio. I doubt you have the holes under the dash to bolt one in but the hand brake in the console is something relatively new to Toyota trucks. Also, I know this is your first post but if you could put in some info (sig!) about your truck that would help a lot.

What kind of radios? If you figure it out, let us know. I like radios (Ham) also.

Its a 1998 4runner v6 5vze. The center console right now has the original factory stuff with the hand brake and small box and change tray, no cup holders. I have a Cobra CB radio, a 2m Ham radio, BCT8 uniden scanner, a sirius satellite radio, and another scanner, and a few small amps. what I'd like to do is get rid of the hand brake so I can build a radio holder into the center console and have all the radios and crap next to each other. right now they are spread from the dash, on top the dash, under seats and under the dash, which makes it kinda hard to keep track of them all. I thought about trying to find a way to put a pull hand brake where the tacomas have them next to the radio in the dash, but i still havent figured out hwo to modify the dash to accept the hand brake.
