Will a double DIN radio fit in a 2003 4Runner???

Has any body installed an Double DIN in a 03 4Runner?

If so what KIT if any did you use? Could you post a picture.

Double Din will fit... the stock radio is actually wider than double din. SO you'd have to find a shim kit or something for the sides.

Try this place. They might have something... not sure but I know they have some for the single din.

Thanks.....but I have already tried them and they have only the KIT for the 1 din with a large pocket under it....

Crutchfield says they don't even know yet what will fit it... That is bad since they are a major player and should stay on top of things............

A person would think it would not be this hard to find a double din kit for the popular 4Runner

 

Call Metra, they manufacture install kits. Nothing listed for the 03 Runner yet, but they'll probably have one before long. Here's their info: Metra
