Do I make sense?

Do I make sense?
Back in March I bought a 05 Tundra Double Cab. The second day I had it, I took off the stock 265/65R17 Dueler H/T on the stock alloy wheels for the 265/70R16 Revos on Wheelers black alloy rims I had on my 4-Runner.
My logic tells me the H/T's will give better MPG than the Revos. Am I thinking right?

265/65R17==30.6 diameter/96.0 circumfrance/660.0 revs per mile
265/70R16==30.6 diameter/96.2 circumfrance/659.0 revs per mile
We are talking a 0.1% difference in the speedometer, so the odds of you noticing anything or it having any effect are virtually zero.
There might be a slight difference if one tire has a very agressive tread and the other a street tread, but again, the odds of you detecting it are slim.

265/65/17 Dueler HT = 30.4" OD
265/70/16 Revo = 30.7" OD
so again, no, you will not notice a difference in MPGs with that .3" OD difference. and those measurements are from the manufacturer's website which takes into account the tread, etc.

blue,
i made the same change too. for a year or so before i got my gps, i noticed that my mpg dropped. however after doing a visual "calibrating" and comparing my speedo to my gps, it turns out that w/ my 32s, the speedo is dead on w/ the gps speedo. this tells me that my mileage w/ the stock 31s was artificially reading higher
(i hope my logic/math is correct)

Thanks for the info.
The size of the Revo's I have now are a stock size for my truck. I wasn't concerned about the size of the tire but tread of the tire. The Revo's look more agressive but from what I am hearing, I won't see an increase in MPG.
So, I can keep my truck looking cool.
