Do the automatic steps work?

Do the automatic steps work?
With a 6 inch lift and 35s, its hard for the g/f or smaller people to JUMP into the truck. I was thinking of running tube steps, but i dont like the, So i thoght about a regular step. But that is a big loss on ground clearance...over rocks and all. So i found these electric steps. When the door is cloesed the tuck up under the truck, and when the door opens, they fold down. What do you guys think of these? Also, is there a way to get them to work around ROCKSLIDERS?

ooo you guys have no idea... im 5'5" and with a 4" lift comming and probably removal of my running boards....its gonna be a skip and a jump to get into the yota in the morning..hah..im thinking about investing in just a single step or maybe a grab bar on the side because i don't mind doing pull ups (i can do about 25....yea short arms)

There's another thread like this... someone posted a picture of what looked like a saddle stirrup. As ghetto as that may be, I like that idea more than the automatic steps... with the automatic that's just one more thing to go wrong.

My buddy used a saddle stirrup.. It worked super well, open the door, fling it out, step in, fling it back next to the seat, close the door. Worked like a charm, and doesn't create an install mess, or loss of ground clearance. He just bolted it to the seat frame.
