The fiberglass looks good, nice and clean.

Since you know fiberglass, is it possible to bond glass to metal? If so, what bonding agent would you use?

 

that was actually my first time fiber glassing, but i think it has to be a pretty rough surface to adhere to. like some resin got on the plastic trim and it just peeled off.

 

Hows the rattle from mounting on the roof like that?

How did you attach it? And what points?

 

doesnt rattle at all, its pretty solid. its the stock roof piece i just glassed over it, so its attatched with all the stock plastic snap things. its been 3 weeks and it hasnt budged

 

You should add more speakers.

Looks like good work but the location is rather odd. Good staging but not practical as you will kick and dent scratch your fronts and the back is screaming for attention, "please steal my car, I have awesome system."

I would've created two seal stealth box for your subs, one each side of the cargo area and take out that giant space hogger box of yours.

 

Nice work but the ones in the kick panel are gonna suck on long drives, I thought I lost leg room when I put in a full cage

 

Interesting approach. Why pro-audio drivers? And while I've had good experiences with kick panels, my 4Runner is too small for 'em. I need all the foot room I can get, and I NEED that dead pedal.

What matters is that it appears as though you did a good job, and that you're happy with it! I'd be wary of the plastic snaps holding all that weight on the roof over an unexpected bump.

 

Like a BOSE demo room. Response curve like the Appalachian trail, in other words.

haha im not worried about people stealing anything thats what the 12 gauge is for. As the for the back piece i self tapped it and its held in by the dome light, its not coming down. No issues with ecus, every things enclosed. Im also 19 so i have nothing better to do with my time or money

 

Looks good, I plan on making a fiberglass box this summer. Thinking about using the storage space on the right of my 99.
