When you hand over the keys to your service advisor your vehicle will be driven at the advisors or service managers discretion. At my dealership we are told to take vehicles home after a used motor is installed or similar major sevice is done to insure the vehicle will operate ok throughout the entire starting/driving cycle. I had to take an Aveo home the other day to try to catch a very intermittent misfire that happened as it warmed up(I was not happy about this, the Aveo is a tin can). Occasionally when I am leaving for lunch I am told to take a car or truck and listen for a noise or see if the SES light comes on.
If you call the cops about this, which it sounds like you won't, you can add yourself to the list of retards who tie up the police with frivolous BS and ensure that you have to find a new place to get your truck serviced.

hope your next repair goes a lil smoother.
p.s. yea, it sucks about the repairs right away, but with any used vehicle, you have to assume the previous owner did nothing for maintenance and expect to spend at least $1000 getting the rig back into its glory.

Hey axon, you ARE getting jammed by the dealer now. I can't believe you're paying for an oil change. OF COURSE it's part of the warranty claim. Same as if they broke a head bolt, drained the rad, etc...the warranty covers ALL of the shop supplies, fluids, breakage - knock sensor if you stick your ground, even a new O2 sensor if you explain to the tech that it got ruined by the antifreeze that went up the tail pipe. The pullies are normal maintenance but make 'em give you the belt - they said they would - as for the 'miss' the new t-belt is probably off a tooth -- nice to see that even the pros miss it now and again.

I used to work for them.
They're a fortune 500 company with well over 35+ up and down the east coast. They are the largest vlume dealership in the mid atlantic area. Toyota corporate loves them. They send 24 dozen roses for his daughter's birthday (total b__ch). Your so screwed .. you can complain all you want. They won't listen, so don't waste your breath, just go straight to court if its worth your time to persue this. Their own employees filed a class action law suit agaisnt them a few years ago, b/c they were cheating their employees out of commision.
