Unhappy Daytime running lights

I was just wondering if anyone out there knows how to turn off the daytime running lights on a 2001 SR5 Sport. I tried pulling the fuses and that didn't so the trick.

I added a switch like Corey describes on his web page. I can now turn the DRL's on and off. I looked over on 4Runner bulletin board to see if I could find my writeup. Could not find it. If you want to add the switch let me know and I'll see if I can reconstruct what I did. There is a Toyota TSB out on the 2000. I assume yours is similar/same.

You can always pull up on your e-brake one notch before starting and leaving it there. It won't effect the brakes and this also by-passes DRLs. But, you'll have the brake warning light on if you can deal with that. Having DRLs to me is no big deal though.
