Cruiser Coils...

I can get a pair of rear 80 cruiser coils, a short side and tall side. I there anyone out there that wants a tall side coild and has a short side coil to trade me? Otherwise I will find another set and either sell the tall side coils or hold on to them for future use.
Thanks

Talk to Kevywevy, he's running a tall and short side coil on his 4runner. You can barely tell the difference. I have 2 short side coils and mine seems to lean more than his does

I'm in the same situation: trying to decide if a swap is worth it or not, so I'll give this thread a bump!

im probably gonna order a set from slee offroad, i talked to him about them, he said if i put the taller one on the gas tank side i wont notice the differance. if i get mine and put them on and notice a differance im just gonna torch a little off the tall one. Oh also slee told me the differance in the two springs is really only about 1/4-1/2 an inch. He said gas tank side should balance it just right

Carose725--That sounds about right, the difference that is. I believe mine was just over 1/2" uncompressed. If it keeps the same rate (I'm assuming it will), I guess the gastank might balance it out. Actually if I'm depending on the gas tank to balance it out, mine will only be balanced every few weeks when I fill'er up.....D'oh

What part of KY you from?

Couldnt you also use a OME trim packer with the short side coil?
Thanks

I tried those and it didn't work real well. I think maybe we should just all post what we have and what we want.

I have Cruiser coils that are round all the whole length of the spring. I think mine might be 4WD w/towing package. I'm looking for a long side to match up to mine.

s_wall98 has a set that the spring is flattened on one end. He's looking for someone with a short side to trade him. We think maybe his is 4WD w/o the towing package, but they are 4WD.

To rehash again...

I have two tall side coils on my 95 with a heavy rear bumper.

First, I bought one pair. The coils were noticeably different in height. I put the tall one on the gas tank side and it was not level. I swapped them and it was worse.

Then I bought another pair. This time there was a height difference, but the taller one was not exactly as tall as the tallest and the short one was pretty close to the shortest, but their wraps were not identical.

Now I run two tall sides and I measure 16" rim to fender on both sides.

Spacers will only make the tall one taller. I think that tall sides are way over kill with no front lift and no heavy rear bumper.
