Cold Knock

On my 92 after it sets overnight, when I go out and crank it of the morning it has this slight knock sound if I drive it without warming it up. If I let it warm up I hear no sound what so ever. Doesnt really make the knock at idle only if I rev the engine. Also what kinda oil pressure should a 22/re run? Driving down the road I have great oil pressure but at idle it drops way down to just above the L. A little gas and it goes right back up. Truck has 240K but motor supposebly only has around 90k on it.

Sounds like classic 22re piston slap to me. Short skirt pistons to begin with, add some wear and slappity, slappity. Once the pistons warm up and expand some they ride better in the bore and quiet down. Odds are, it is happening in only one cylinder. You can pull a plug wire at a time to find out which it is.
I believe it also can be a problem with the wrist pins/bushings (??).
Probably not a bearing since I think they tend to make noise after warming up and not when cold.
They can run a while like that, but from what I understand, ultimately the piston will break apart from the unusual forces it is being subjected to.
Welcome aboard. Mine has the same thing and I'm leaning towards just replacing the engine. I can't stand the sound of it and don't want to find myself sitting beside the road with a side of the block blown out either.
In my case, I bought the truck that way from a dealer that needed to "go get the truck from the other lot" when I went to test drive it. In retrospect, what they were really doing was taking it for a drive to warm up the engine so the sound wasn't so bad and like an idiot I fell for it
