Clutch squeak

I have a 96 Tacoma, and the clutch started squeaking recently so I replaced the clutch pedal bushings and greased everything but there is still a loud squeak coming from the footwell. I think it's the master cyl or the rubber sealing the shaft on the firewall. Anyone have this problem and fix it?

There's a lot of things to squeak in the linkage I suppose.

Mine was squeaking last week. Crawled up under the dash and it was coming from the return spring (where the spring contacts the pedal arm). Sprayed it with WD-40.

Mine too, but it's an 86 model... I haven't replaced anything from the pedal...

but I've changed my clutch master and slave cylinder about a year ago OEM parts...

I've just sprayed the moving parts of the pedal the other day with motorcycle chain lube spray...It helps a little...

You are sure it is in the cabin? In my case it was in the clutch housing. The arm moved by the slave cylinder makes a noise in my case.

It's definitely attached to the master Clutch cyl.. But it might be on the engine side of the firewall

May I ask how you ended up fixing it so the squeak would quit?

Thanks!
