Clutch slave cyl. hydraulic line question

Good day,

When removing the slave cylinder hydraulic line, I borked up the fitting so I need to replace it. The fitting looks different than a normal brake line so I want to confirm which type of line to use.

Does anyone know what type of hydraulic line the slave cylinder uses?

Thanks,

Jeff B

Thanks Jason... did you notice the strange shoulder on the threaded portion? That is what I am worried about... otherwise it does look like a bubble flare.

Thanks,

jb

long story, but, I've used a regular flare fitting on a bubble flare and its been fine.

The parts store will hook you up though.

A double flare will work just fine.threads are probably metric so make sure you match them up.also Use a tubing bender spring, you could be carefull and bent it w/o one,but they are very cheap....Also if you find the correct line flared, and fitted and its too long you could just use the spring and shorten the line by making a series of loops.

Something like this:found in the hardware store plumbing isle..I would guess 1/4-3/8 sized for pipe.

Perfect... Thanks.

I ended up getting 10" of 3/16 brake line and two fittings to convert to metric. This is what it ended up looking like (I just used a piece of PVC pipe to make the loops)

Looks good! As long as it doesn't leak it serves its purpose.
