I had my clutch replaced last summer and it's done this since a few months after: it'll squeak when I press it in, but only when it's a certain temp. and humidity outside. I'm thinking they must have forgotten to grease the clutch pedal bushing.

is there anyway to grease it without taking everything apart? :pat:

 

Clutch pedal bushing? I don't remember seeing one when i replaced the clutch master cylinder and stuff. Maybe I'm stupid? Or maybe there is something binding up or needs to be adjusted? I thought it was just a metal rod that connects to a large nut and then to the back of the pedal.

 

maybe that's not what it is... it's just weird how sometimes it makes that squeaking sound and other times it doesn't.

earlier today it was doing it really bad, and tonight when I went to get gas I could hardly tell there was a problem.
it never did it before with the old clutch though, the worst part is the place that replaced it went out of business so I can't take it back and get them to fix whatever it was they did wrong

 

might be your clutch master cylinder. thats what's causing mine.

if it's that, would it squeak even with the engine off?

the mechanic that replaced the clutch, also did the timing belt. he forgot to tighten the timing belt tensioner or something and had to go back in there to fix it.

 

Check the contact points between the clutch slave cylinder and the clutch fork. And the point the clutch fork pivots on the housing. One of them might be the source of the squeak. A little moly lube on each point should fix it if it is.
