Which clutch is the better one?

Ok my choices are:

JT outfitters clutch $115 I believe they use stock aisin parts

LUK clutch I can get from a parts store they have in stock locally for $167

Which clutch would you buy?

I would buy a Stock Toyota clutch. They seem to last a long time. My dad has 130,000 miles on his original clutch (1996 4Runner).

Another vote for factory Toyota clutch. They made it right the first time so no need to go elsewhere.

How much do OEM clutches cost from a reputable on-line dealer?

I guess I could see how much I can get one from www.conicellitoyota.com ,I got my OEM springs there for $200 which is $160 cheaper than the local stealership wanted.

My clutches for my Eclipse cost about $400 +install and those only lasted 3 years or less so anything is better to me.

There certainly isn't anything wrong with the stock clutch. They do a fine job in these vehicles. I don't recognize the name LUK, so I would be a bit shy of that one. Between the two, I therefore would be inclined to go with the stock one from JT, if it is indeed a stock clutch.

Have a Zoom clutch in one truck, and a Centerforce in the other. Both have worked very well.

Centerforce is always my first choice. Luk is a decent clutch as well.

I have a jt outfitters and am not that happy with it, it drives fine, but slighlty struggles with my 31's and thats not that much over stock, iwould find a stronger clutch, i vote stock.

when i bought my 4runner, it had a Luk clutch in it, and I was not allthat thrilled with its performance. It drove around town just fine, but tended to smoke up during heavy offroading. when it finally gave out in Hollister Hills, and I replaced it with a stock clutch, it was easy to see that the stock clutch was much more heavy duty than the Luk.
