Clear turn signals. Where to get them.

Lately i have seen 4 runners(2nd gen. mostly) with clear turn signals in the front bumber. I was just wondering where to get them. Does napa or car quest have them? and one more thing are they street legal?

www.burtmanindustries.com

yes, theyre DOT approved, but you have to put the proper bulbs into them (ie. bulbs that light up amber)

Does anyone know if they make a just red and clear tail light, like M3 style? All I can find are the gay altezzas and I really want to get rid of the amber.

on my 01, theres no orange to the taillight housing itself, its all the bulb. so if you get a chrome-faced bulb that shines amber, its just white and red (this is what im currently running)

i got some from a "store" on ebay "procarparts" but they didnt fit the hole in the bumper and am still in the process of returning/exchanging them..i think with shipping it was between $20-30...ive looked at burtmann industries and all i saw were the side headlight indicators...its possible i missed the bumper signals tho...

jason b's. i went through 2 pairs of ebay ones and they all leaked water in or got cloudy same with my old altezza's. his stuff is much higher quality and actually fits in the holes and doesnt leak (due to having a gasket)

Must be luck of the draw since I bought two set of corners for my '97 and a set of JDM corners for my '99 and no problems whatsoever but consistency can mean alot with quality and I've never read a complaint from the parts Jason sells.

You can, theres nothing stopping you. However the cops might pull you over since the law states it has to light up amber.

I have clear signals on mine and I'm still running the OEM bulb til I get a pair of LEDs;so far the cops don't seem to care but blue would be more obvious and draw their attention.

I tried the blue bulb covers for fun and it just looked like a tacky Civic at night;I don't mind amber illumination but I don't want amber present when they are off and that's why LEDS will be coming soon.
You'll eventually get ticketed sometime since blue is probably the most noticed color since emergency vehicles are the only vehicles that can have blue lights facing forward;please say you don't have the light up windshield nozzles. It does help that Florida isn't a car-nazi state like California.

i do have those nozzles only because they were the only ones i could find at any auto parts store. i had to get them because they oem ones do not fit with the cf hood. i do not have them connected and do not intend to do so.
