cheap lifts

hey guys i got a guy who can manufacture pretty much anything in high streangth plastic. he says he can make me some spacers to go between the spring and the body. only thing is i dont know what size i need or how big the hole in the center needs to be. id check myself but my cars in the shop and this weekend is the only time hes got at work to do private projects. so u see my problem.... does anyone have the stats that im looking for ie the width of the spring coil and how big around they are on the front and back of a 97 4runner any technical diagrams u might have would be great if u could post them. thx alot for anything u can do

I can't help you out with the measurments but I was wondering if you do get this guy to make the spacers, would you be interested in getting me some too?? How strong is this plastic he would be making them out of? What is it normally used for? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I suppose you could check on those cornfed spacers and see what the measurements on those are. Maybe the guy who makes'em will be willing to share the numbers so you don't have to go buy them.

he works for a plastics company they have diffrend kinds i assume. He assured me that they would not be made out of cheap toy plastic but more or less like the kind used in the windshields of armored cars and other places where u need a very strong/flexible/durable/lightwieght mat. iv looked at day star i just havent tried to ask them the deminsions on theyre spacers. oh and id be happy to make some for u the only thing is it cant be free, it wil be damn cheap but not free and until i get the chance to send the guy some specs i have no idea how cheap. cya

I don't know much about 3rd gens, but I know for 2nd gens the cheapest lift is simply cranking the T-bars and getting 2" lift coils for the rear. That'll run ya like...$150 or whatever the springs cost
