Here's one for when you're bored:

Just replace all of your sill plate screws with stainless steel screws. (The tube step plate screws, too, if you got 'em!) Looks a helluva lot better than those nasty black trim screws.

I found that the local hardware store was a lot cheaper than Home Depot, so shop around!

Thumbs up

That's not a bad idea! Some of mine are rusted already and they look pretty ratty. I might roll on down to the hardware store tomorrow and see what they've got. Thanks for the idea!

I agree. I decided to look at mine today and they do look pretty nasty. Yet another hardware purchase coming up.. *sigh*

Corey, you can have my wallet. I haven't got a use for it now that I'm broke with all these mods on the go.

It is funny that you say that. I just changed mine about a week ago. Mine were rusted and I changed them with nice shiny stainless steel ones. It only took like 5 minutes to do and really looks cool. I work at a hardware store, so I got mine super cheap, but yeah, don't go to Depot...shop around! Do the Mom and Pop stores a favor and get the stuff there! Thanks! :fireman:

I can borrow your wallet Al? Kewl

Hey, all my thresh hold screws look like crap too.
Did you just take a stock screw in with you and have them match the threads?

A few of mine are also kind of stripped.
I should do the console at the same time too, as I'm missing one by the shifter.

Corey, yeah, that is what I did. I took one out and matched it up with the one there. I believe (don't quote me) that it is a #8 or 10 screw. Mine were stripped to, but there is some little clip underneath that holds the threshold down, so I wouldn't worry about it. :fireman:
