A/C problems after water pump work
Did some searching but didn't come up with anything. I've just recently purchased a 1998 3.4 L V6 tacoma with 153,000 mi on it. When I test drove it the A/C worked, immediately after buying it I had the water pump and timing belt changed. A/C doesn't blow cold anymore. The water pump work is all that has changed. Any ideas? Thanks

Who did the work? There are two methods of r/r timing belt. mechanic prob didn't connect it. There should be a elec plug for AC compressor. Is it connected? Other possibility maybe it was removed and needs recharge? Any pros care to assist? Good luck!

SDSurfer,
thanks for the thoughts i traced what seemed to be the power source- there is a wire that splits off to the power steering and then heads straight down to the a/c compressor but it has no clip and is actually just a bare wire at the end? I looked at my buddy's 1998 4runner with same 3.4L v6 and his had the same wiring attached to a clip at the compressor but i couldn't even find a connection point on my compressor just the bare end of the wire?
