the "buzz" under the hood

Iknow it's an emission control and it buzzes after you drive it but should it still buzz almost 27 hours later? Is this bad?

My truck "snores" even after 4 days of not driving it. No worries!

And it makes a buzzing sound? I would check the vacuum fittings to see if they are bleeding off if thats what the sound is coming from.

This is a TSB on earlier models I believe, it can only be cured by full replacement unfortunately.

Trust me, I have looked into tearing that thing out back when it bugged me.

Actualy its not a complete replacement its a $10 or less part if I remember correctly I did it after having mine the first year and the stealer said its normal they all do it cause they did LOL. Its a simple splice into existing vacum hose and add a small part not sure what its called but I'm sure someone will chime in and yes it was a TSB that had the part # and how to install it. The dealer should know about it and be able to get you the part fixed. By the way it was a bullfrog type of noise, is that what yours is doing ??
Good Luck I'm sure a search here will find more information on it all.

Buzz

X-AWDriver, this is a curable and easy thing to fix. There is no removing or replacing anything. There was an additional "canister" created solely for the purpose for stopping this annoying buzz. Because it’s not a standard part the tard at the parts counter will probably look at you strange. I cant find my receipt to give you the precise part # but what I'd suggest is asking the service dept. for the part# for TSB EG002-97 & go from there. It's about $15.00. All your doing is running a existing tube to the new canister that adheres to the side of the EVAP then to the EVAP intake. Takes 2 minutes. Heres a copy of the TSB I coaxed out of my stealer. Hope this helps. I thought I had a Queen bee living in my wheel well.
