Hey all, I ripped off my drivers side mudflap yesterday and was wondering if anyone has one for sale. If so please let me know I would like to buy it. I've got an 03 dbl cab TRD Tacoma.

The dealer will cover that under warranty. At least that's what the service manager at Tempe Toyota told me.

 

Even though I busted it off crawling over a log?

 

just don't tell him how it came off just say it fell off while driving home or something

 

All the scratches from the log and scuff marks might give it away. I also sheared it right off from the bolts so all the plastic is tore off.

 

Wouldn't hurt to ask, though I'd suggest that you be up front and honest about it.

I asked him the same question. His response: "Well the truck is made for off-roading right? Then the flap should not rip off while off-roading. Its covered under the 3/36 warranty."

I ripped off my mudflaps 3 times on my 98 Tacoma. So, I know what you mean. Only problem is I was out of warranty at that time.

Some of us have a cheap alternative if you cant get anywhere with the dealer on this issue. How do $8 mudflaps sound?

 

I need a passenger side mudflap if you want to split a set. If the dealer will replace it, rip off the passenger side too and sell it to me.

 

Checked with the dealer and they will not cover it under the warranty. Oh well, worth an ask. Thanks all!
