bushwacker flares

Has anyone ever installed Bushwacker flares onto a 2nd gen 4runner 2dr? I'm trying right now, but the flares are made for a 4dr and are supposed to fit the 2dr as well. I don't see it happening. They don't seem to fit at all.

Just a guess, but you might need the the set for the Toyota "truck" not 4Runner. Not sure, but there might be an issue with the gas cap location on the truck vs the 2 door 4Runner.

Doors on a 2 door are same as pickup doors so stands to reason they would work on the rear fender well since it is sans doors.

So you know that that geometry of the rear wheel Well is the same from pickup to 2door 4runner or are you just guessing because the share the larger door? I know wabbit you know your stuff so i trust you over most but we are talkin 600 dollar fenders lol i have a buddy with a pickup that i might go take measurments from just to make sure.

Haha awesome! In my head it should look sick. Imagine- black 2door- 4" lift, black soft 8's on toyo 35x12.50 m/t's, bushwackers, rear tg bumper, front addicted offroad bumper, 2JZ under the hood. Droooooool lol thats the plan

Holy blast from the past. I don't know about the pick up rears but I went with the 4Runner 4 door style and had a buddy at a bodyshop fill the dip. When they were painted, you couldn't even tell.

One other thing I remember is that the flares sucked quality wise. I worked those things for hours to get them to fit. Don't like Bushwacker but there aren't many options. Here's what it looked like when done:

Looks pretty good! Love How they look on 4runner and i need em because my 35's arent going to be legal out too far. Sounds like they were a pita though :S im gonna get some mesures off my buddys truck before i settle on a set.

It looks like they come down pretty far on the back bumper hey? Im going to a tube rear bumper so idk how that would work :S

Yeah, they are formed to the bumper sides so you'd have to do something crazy to make 'em work.
