Fender Flares

So I was staring at my runner tonight (as I often do), and really noticed how much my wheels stick out past the fenders. As I was thinking about my flare options, the name bushwacker sort of stood out in my mind.........probaly a previous reference to them on this site or something. Does anyone have any experience with them, or any other flares? any piticular brands that are good? bad? Any input is appreciated, as are pictures of your flares.
Thanks
Mark

Yes, they look really good on 2nd gens.
Plenty of pics on my site.

Look under the trail ride links near the top of the page.
Here is an example with a side view.

Ive had mine on for awhile and they are just ok...
They look great but are not as tough as id like. Instead of flexxing when rubbed against things they crack. If your rig dosent see any trail use they should be fine but i have replaced a few from cracking them.
Good luck ... Jay...

I have them on my 3rd Gen and I'd have to say they're ptetty tough from my experience. I've rubbed them on a tree and an embankment and just got scratches never a crack and they never pulled off of the body.

Awesome, thanks guys
NOw, how much did you guys pay for them? What would be a fair price to pay for them? Also, how much work was required for mounting them? any 4runner-speific problems?
Thanks for all your help

I have the part #s for them on my website in the mods area listed in my table of contents.

Paid around $240 for the two required sets.
Easy to put on, and the night before you do, install the rubber seal on them first.

We simply taped them in place, and I also held them in place while my brother in-law drilled the holes.

Take each wheel off for better access to the wheelwells.

I love mine. They were a b-day present from my parents though... Install was easy. I would even jack it up and pull the rollers off to make it easier.

Bushwackers

I got some for my 85, but I don't have them on yet, as I've got to trim the fender wells a bit here and there for clearance later on and some minor rusting, but they look to be pretty durable plastic and quite flexible to fit a wide variety of openings. I'm still not certain I'll put mine on, but I'm planning on it as of now. If not I'll just sell them as they are still in the original boxes.

4RunnerKid...I'm not much on white rigs or chrome, but your rig looks nice.
