I have a Badland Bumpers Tube front bumper and it is NOT that heavy. I think that it weighs in at 125lbs with my Milemarker winch in it. I was able to handle removing the bumper myself when I was installing the winch. But putting it back on with the winch in it was another story. BTW the bumper on Jeff's 89 SAS pickup (with the 38x14.5x15" tires) that has the shackles on it is my bumper. When I arrived to pick it up, they removed it from the 89 as they used it as a template for my 94.

I think it depends on the amount of coverage you'll need. Do you need the full basher coverage or do you just need max approach angle? Weight is also a factor if you add a winch in the future. I had a set of All-Pro univrsal mount nerf bars on my old Ranger and lover the look and function. So I think they are 1st class. Had a bump out at the end to guide the back around stuff and they were welded to the frame. Don't plan to punch out this 04 as much so it's an non factor for me. Good luck, you can't go wrong with those 2 options.

I vote for the Badlands bumper out of those two choices. I like the bullbar look and other drivers will get out of your way with it. Merging into traffic is a piece of cake when you are BAD looking

When I catch up to them at a light, I like to sit about 1/4" off of the back of their rear bumper so they can see Mr. ARB in their rearview mirror.
Believe me, I can see their face in their mirror cussing me out

i emialed them Jeff and badland and he responded and told me the bumper weighed in at 125lbs. that's alot of weight for just the bumper by itself. When i do get what ever bumper i decide on i'm going to put a mile marker E9000 in it so that will increase weight even more. I think i'm gonna go with one of the all pro's. Anyone in Georgia know of a place to power coat it at?
thanks for all the input and help. you guys are great.

Is it possible that 125lbs is the "shipping" weight including the crating that has to be built to encase and protect the bumper in transit? I hefted mine when it came time to take it off to install the Milemarker E8000 and it wasn't that heavy alone. Perhaps you should get Jeff to clarify on that before eliminating the Badland Bumpers product. Just my thoughts.

I like the AP bumper for a pure, rock crawling bumper. It would look goofy winchless to me.
Badlands clearly does good work, but I bet you could get the same quality locally and save a ton on the shipping. Getting my ARB from Cali almost cost me a kid. This bumper supposedly weighs a lot more and will be traveling even farther.
Funny about the intimidation. I drove of my roomies to class today and the pedestrain traffic is usually terrible. I had no less than a half dozen people stop and wait for me to turn instead of just walking in front. It was great.

yes, in the e-mail jeff sent. the weight was clearly stated to be 125lbs. that's just too much. plus the cost of shipping ontop of the cost of a bumper that's 140$ more is alot.even though it would already be powder coated. I really really like that badland though but it's just too much money. So i must go with the all pro.
Still if anyone knows of powdercoating places let me know. thanks, alan
