Smile bumper ready and coated

As posted before I was allmost ready with my front bumper last week.
I had the bumper zinc plated and coated this week. I just mounted it but still have to hook up the Hella's and winch.
The signal lights (hard to see) are from a VW Golf. I ordered some black covers for them and they blend in very nice with the bumper. They still light up okay though.
The beams are a set of Hella Comet's.
I cut out a lot of slots and holes to provide plenty of air flow into the radiator. The 7M-GE gets kinda hot and needs the air flow.
I build it so I could easily operate the clutch and have a good vision on how the steelcable winds onto the drum.
Sorry for the dark pic but we have some bad weather over here.
I estimate the entire project (sheetmetal, bending, lights, coating etc. cost me $ 500. Not bad at all I guess.

Looks great! Is there anything you can do about the chrome housing for the headlights? That would finish everything off nicely.

Holy crap? Did you make that yourself? If so, please tell me you documented it somehow.

Nice

Thanks for the compliments guys. Actually I want to get rid of all the chrome. The grille and headlights are no problem but I have no clue how to paint that stainless steel window trim. The grille and corners are aftermarket and their quality sucks. I never seen a chrome plastic grille which rusts so badly. :pat:

I will replace the rearbumper also with a new unit, similar to the front one. Or maybe strenghten it from the inside and powdercoat it black because I like the look of the rearbumper.
And yes, I have documented how I made it. I also have some drawings for bending the sheetmetal plus a partslist of what tools are needed. If anybody is interested I can do a quick write-up somewere next week.

It stopped raining so I can make a decent pic today as soon as I hook up all the electrics.

Now that's a good bumper. Good sense of taste is still present on this planet, only mostly in Europe

Long story short. They guy in the CJ got stuck in some tracks behind me. I backed up and used my rear winch to pull him out. Nice to see what you can do with two lockers and some 33's Mt's.
You can't see it but I used to run a 4" lift, 1" bodylift and 33"s.
