bug deflectors
I am looking for a bug deflector for my 03 runner, winter time is comming and was just wanting the added protection.. I was wondering if one brand is better than another. The only ones that I have found are made by Lund and Auto vent shade. The one from lund seems to be the cheapest but I was wondering witch one is better. Also any ideas on where to order.

Don't know if anyone else noticed, but adding the hood guard altered the aerodymanics of my runner. It's very noticeable when the window is down. Funny, I did not think it would make that much of a dif. But I almost kinda like it, cuz now when the driver window is down the air does not rush in against my face...it simply bypasses the opening altogether. Wierd.
BTW: the EGR is super nice and holds tight with those four screws. But alas, they do not produce the carbon fiber look-a-like for 2nd gens anymore.

I just got a Lund and it was a 15 minute install with no drilling and the guard stands fully away from the hood but conforms nicely. It is a bit taller than some but I never liked the guards where you couldn't get your hand behind them to clean the hood properly.
I did get the rear air deflector by EGR and it is a very nice looking piece,IMO it's nicer than the stock ones and is also another 15 minute install.
