Exclamation broken bolts help

i broke three or four of the bolts that hold on my skidplate so we cut that off and now i want a skidplate to go whellin. so do you guys have any nifty tricks to take broken bolts out other then drilling and tapping, and lube vice grips and a torch?

Heat the frame around it, hit the bolt with PB blaster to cool/shrink it, and use an EZ out.

Don't think they do. You say you're in Rutland area? I know Noble Ace sell them.

There's probably a place that sells them closer to you though in Poultney. They're pretty common, call around. Good one are made by Irwin, in the drill bit section.

Talking broken bolt

Try a reverse drill bit from sears. I used this to take off a broken cam shaft bolt.

Yes, a left hand drill does work from time to time. Just make sure its the right pilot drill for your easy out in case it doesn't move it, your hole is still the right size

True enough. Also use a center punch if possible.
