Cool Breaks

So last week when I had my Magnaflow cat-back put on I had them do a break inspection. They said I need to rotors and seals and pads. Like $250 for everything. I've heard before they tell you to redo everything just so they can make money. What's everyones take on the subject?
I am thinking just the pads, but I'm open for suggestions.

Take the rotors to Checker or Autozone. They will inspect them for free and tell you if they are good, need to be turned, or thrown out.

Rotors

4Runner rotors shouldn't be turned. I had mine turned and they warped really bad in less than a month. Then I had them replaced. Been there...
