I am looking to get a 3 inch body lift on a 2004 prerunner and I don't know what size tires and rims to go with. I talked to a 4 wheel drive shop and they said 33x12.50 would fit. That is the size I want to go with. I don't plan on taking this truck offroad I have a Jeep TJ that I use for that. Will these tires work.

 

 

you might rub with only 3" of lift.. you will almost definitely rub when the wheels are fully turned. Just something to look out for.

3 inch body lift is pushing it, especially with a spanking new truck.

 

So probably not a good idea to go with that....

 

Was just looking to get a little lift with bigger tires. So what size tires and rims would be good to go with a 3 inch body lift

 

265/75/ or 31-10.50s & no body lift

 

I'm not sure exactly how much lift I got - but the suspension install I did yesterday was a 3" Cornfed and Procomp AAL.
This is what my truck looks like with the 265/75/16


Just to add, my suspension is a bit sagging because of the extra weight and wear of 65K miles.

 

What size tires does that convert too 265/75/16 and do you have any problems with tires rubbing?

 

265/75 muds are equivalent to 32s, I believe...

 

Something else I forgot - I haven't regeared and I can feel a little sluggish accelerating and getting to passing speeds on the freeway. I read here that 32s are probably as high as you wanna go with stock gearing. Any larger and you'll be wanting to regear and recover your lost power.

 

i would stick with 32s if you only have 3" of lift. if you plan on getting a suspension lift in the near future, get the 33s. but as TacomaDude said, you may need to regear for the 33s.
