Sure thing! I'm not sure if I want to dump $60 for an experiment. Maybe once I actually find another job. Indiglo gauges come fist though.

Well, have fun.

I went and looked at that beingseen.com url , and I think that I might have to give this mod a shot. I know a guy who was thinking about investing in a ton of super white LED's, and I was gonna go for the 'Lexus' instrument look...but the Blue is so much cooler. If anyone has changed the lighting scheme on your runner plz post a few pics.

Thanks,
Outkast`

That's funny that you mention this because I was next to a Lexus yesterday at a red light and could not get over how similar their guages looked to mine, but how bright white the light was.

Can this be simply accomplished by replacing the lights in the dash? A lot of folks on here are into the indiglow lights, I just want a brighter, more crisp, light for the guages that I have.

I don't know how Lexus does it, but with the ignition off, the whole dash is blacked out. When on, all the numbers only, light up...looks like it's all floating. Really kool and rich looking. It's kinda wierd at first as you don't see any 'faces'...just numbers and icons. Floating needles... like a kool drug trip. yeah, I like it.

Yeah, I've noticed the same on my sister's SC400. It almost looks like the reverse indiglos they have out there for other cars. Except much brighter.

Does anyone know where you can get a bunch of superwhite & bright LEDs?

Also, does anyone know the formula on which resistors to use inline w/ LEDs? I've seen it somewhere before, but I can't find it anymore.

EDIT: found something..

Do a search in a search engine for "voltage divider"
