Black Box and black out

Got Turtle Wax's black box in preparation for the Gobi rack and Bushwackers. The whole black box process took 4 hours with my roommate helping. Afterwards I took the windshield wipers and lower windshield valence off for a fresh coat. All in all a pretty good day for her, especially for under 30 bucks. Got a good picture of the ladder as well. Go Chargers!

What is turle wax black box? I don't want to look it up! :p

Also, do you have any wheel spacers? I like the stance. My 1.5" adapters are kinda pissing me off but I don't see how I'd clear the A-arms with out 'em....

thanks guys

i am just running 1.25" adapters in the fronts until i figure out what i'm doing with the uca's. I'm going to have a shop do the install in the next couple weeks so by December everything will be done. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted. Also, if you're interested in a ladder or rack get at me, I'm thinking of getting a group buyfor either depending on demand

That looks very nice. I always love a clean black vehicle. Yet even though yours looks nice Weston...THIS is shiny black paint.

You cannot just "wax" black paint (no matter what Turtle Wax says). You have to strip off the wax, clay bar, polish (perhaps several times with several different harshness levels), wax and rewax. Then you will have some black glass.

If you REALLY want that paint to "pop" you need to check out a website like Griot's Garage and use their products. Top of the line stuff.

Your truck really has come a LONG way.

Thanks for the heads up. The box had a gritty pre wax stripper which was applied the same way as the wax, we took it down pretty hard, cleaned it off with supplied spray, then built up 2 coats of the wax. It seemed pretty thorough but glad to see there are more intense methods, this will hold me over for the photo shoots then I will see about going to town on it
