If they will fit on a Taco, they will fit a 3rd Gen 4Runner. However, just because they will fit does not mean they will work well.

Eibach makes springs, to answer someone else's question. The SAW's also use Eibach springs.

The Tundra valving should be fine.
I would be a bit suspect of the quality before someone else had tried them.
They may be awesome......who knows?

swerks: The only thing different about the Tundra is the top plate. The hole pattern is slightly different. when you go to the All Pro website you can find these in the Tacoma section. Also an e-mail address got for them is eric@allprooffroad.com for the sales/order fulfillment guy. Good luck.

I have never physically taken the two apart and compared them, I was going by what they stated in the Downey catalog. From page 114 of my 2001 Downey catalog, "The bolt pattern in the Tundra upper spring seat is slightly larger than the Tacoma bolt pattern." Then they go on to explain the difference in spring rates...
Since the Tacoma and 4Runner are interchangeable as far as the upper bolt pattern, I just thought I would point that difference out. It looks to me that the guys at All-Pro took the Tundra Coilovers from Bilstein and fabricated a new top plate that fits the Tacoma and maybe are using a different spring. The Tundra Bilstein coilover kit comes with progressive Hyperco springs according to the ads I have seen.

what would be ideal for a 4Runner the tacoma setup or the tundra??? seems more people were leaning toward the tundra valving with the saws.

You said these fit a Tacoma but had Tundra valving.
If they fit a Tacoma they will fit a 4Runner too.
