Axle lenghts

Do all the 96-02 4runner have the same axle size/dimensions? Can I swapped a locked 96 axle to my 99? Thanks.

Yes. Yes. Just make sure the gear ratios are the same.

I think the coilsprings are different sized though.

Hello I'm new here, sorry for bringing a old post back alive but I need some help...I have a 2000 4runner with 16" wheels. So I have a bad wheel bearing/shaft and was wondering if I can replace it with a shaft that came from a 96-00 4runner with 15" wheel?
