Exclamation Awesome idea for 2nd Gen skid plate!

This plate was on a 2nd Gen Hilux surf. The guy said it was on the truck when he bought it and had never seen another one with it. I took some pics so any of you who are machinists might be able to copy it but mostly I was hoping Xtremeoffroad or some others might build one for us!! Here's some pics.. Mike what do you think???

The thing you see hanging down is not part of it. That is a drain hose for something on the diesel.

Joey, that is a pretty cool looking skid plate. It does look very Hilux Surf style. Is it aluminum or is it steel? Just wondering? :fireman:

I thought that drain was an overflow for the radiator.
Interesting skid plate

Victor ya it comes from the radiator but I think it's only on the diesel ones. I didn't see that hose on my truck.

I'm interested. Dunno how well one would fit with a 3" BL but none the less interested.

That's a nice skid plate. Looks like it is really stout too.

That is cool looking Joey.
I'm still waiting here to see waht Azrain comes up with, as he is working on a 2nd gen plate also.

His 3rd gen ones turned out nice looking from what I have seen so far.

Very cool looking and strong.

My only concern would be the front mounting brackets.

Don't you think those might bend when hit? And then your skid plate would be up against your bumper...

Just a thought.

But I do like it.
