Auto tranny fuild level?

Hey guys. Last night I flushed my tranny and put in 12qts of Redline ATF. The dipstick tells me I need more. How much more should I buy. I just want to get close because Redline is pricey. Second question is, do I just get a funnel and pour the 2 or so Qts of redline through the dipstick? Thanks a bunch...I searched and found lots of stuff on ATF but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. TIA

Yes. Let the engine idle (tranny in Park) and pour SLOWLY!! (Long neck funnel is extremely helpful.) Stop periodically to be sure its not spewwing out the lower dipstick joint and running all over the floor.

Just remember, the fluid will expand as it gets up to operating temp. Make sure which notch, the cold or hot, you are checking before you add too much and have to drain some back out.
