Auto to Manual trany conversion..i need help!
so i just saved up enough money to do a trany swap. i just dont know how to start going about it and what exactly i need. has anyone done this and has a list or something of what i need to get and what the best parts would be??
im looking to finish it by the end of december

a good salvage yard.. or your local toyota junk hoarder guy that has about a dozen yota lying around in his yard... but wont sell a one of them.. you see ppl like that no mater what state you are in.
i would suggjest to get a digtial camera and take as many pics as possible so you can always go back and compare...
check you parts manual books too

Is there no progress on this swap? Should it be any more difficult than a transmission swap on, say...a Miata?! A manual transmission, driveshaft, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, slave and master cylinder and pedal...and a shifter? Bolt everything to spec, wire in a clutch/neutral safety for the park sensor and wire in the reverse light?
I looked under the hood of an 02 and the firewall doesn't appear to be drilled through for the master cylinder but shouldn't be too difficult.
