is my 1994 4runner suppose to have a lighted ashtray?

 

If its an SR5, probably. if it has the little green ring around the lighter, then yes.

A lighted ashtray is illuminated with the rest of the interior backlighting.

where is the bulb if my ashtray isnt lit?

 

The bulb is in the top of it. It shines through a little square in the plastic. If you pull the ashtray clear out you can see it. To get to it I think you have to take out the two screws that holds the part the ashtray slides into to the truck. I took mine out when I changed all my interior lights to blue... Have you done the ashtray mod yet where you line it in felt so your change doesn't rattle...wow I just realized I have two mods to my ashtray alone... that's funny

 

I heard they was putting a self lubeing muffler bearing in TRD packages
