Anyone have the '99 digital service manual?

Have the '95 and it's helped alot over the years. Just got a '99 SR5 Highlander 4Runner and wanted to make sure I picked up a manual BEFORE I need it. Anyone have one?

the only stickied link at the top of this forum has exactly what youre looking for. $10 to download the ENTIRE manual. have a fast connection and some time to download the contents.

Hi guys,

has anyone a Non-US-manual? pdf or any other form?
Great idea by Toyota this 10$ per day service, BUT it does not cover my Turbo Diesel, never made into the US....

Sooo, has anyone something on the Diesel-4Runners?

I do have the Engine-Repair/Maintenance Manual, but nothing on the rest of the car. Did the Diesels have the same trans/clutch/transfer/axles as the gas models?

Mine is a '02, Turbo Diesel (no intercooler), 3liter, EFI

Thanks for any help!

Thomas J.

PS: I have to change the clutch bearing the 2nd time now at only 80k km.....

Thomas,

Does your truck have the 1KZ-TE of 1KD-FTV engine? For the 1KZ-TE engine, you can get a pdf copy of the engine service manual from www.toyotasurf.asn.au.

Yes, the tranny, transfer case, and the axles are very much the same as the gas models. However, if your truck is a JDM unit, then it might have some slight differences versus the NorthAm units.

About the clutch, I'm not sure about it.

Highlander's 0-60 time is about 5 seconds faster since it has the hood scoop.
SR5 guys only speed option is stickers...or steal a hood.

Ok...seriously...The Highlander had black fender flares, sport seats, hood scoop , body colored bumpers and Limited style aluminum rims. I think that's it. In fact the Highlander still has the SR5 sticker on it. Someone around here has a Highlander website and they document everything that was different about it. But it's really just a dressed up SR5.
