Anybody running these wheels?

Is anyone running American Eagle 589s? If so could you post picks and sizes. These wheels appear to be relatively inexpensive, so I was think about getting some. Thanks.

speaking of wheels..what do us 2nd gen guys need? stock is 15x 7 right and this question may be dumb but when it says 15x8 or 15x7..what do those numbers mean? also we need 6x5 1/2 with how much back spacing...3 1/2? thanks.

Those numbers mean that our rims are 15 inches in diameter, and are 7 inches wide.

6 lug on 5.5" pattern is right (I'm 99% sure anyway).

CTB, you are right about the lug pattern.

JSB, 589's are great rims to have. i have a set of them on my swampers and i love the way they look. the width of the rim depends on how wide of a tire you have. if you have 31x10.5's, i wouldn't run any wider than 8" rims. when you get to 12.5" wide tires, that's where it gets tricky. some people say that it's best to run 10" wide rims on a 12.5" wide tire, then some say 8" is best. it's all about your personal preference, really. the 8" is gonna make it taller and narrower, and the 10" is gonna make it wider and shorter.

as far as backspacing goes, do some research before you buy. the less backspacing, the more the tire will sick out. i have 3.75" backspacing on my 15x8 Hellcats which are mounted on 31x10.5 Dueler AT's and sometimes it'll rub slightly on full turns. i think a stock rim has about 4.25" backspacing, but don't hold me to that.

so if i have michelin 31 x10.5's i will be ok getting a 15x8 6x5.5 wheel and the backspacing just depends on what you pick. Thanks a bunch CTB and Churnd. any 2nd gen 4runner owners what to throw out some backspacing numbers and how they work for them?

hey im running the eagle 589. i like them. my roommate has them on his truck as well. i have a 91 yota pickup with 35x1250x15 BFG AT KO. i dont know my wheel demensions off hand coz they came with my truck. but im guessing 15x10 . here is a pic of my truck

and

i took the center caps off the front coz the previous owner had the tires rotated, and they stupid mechanic left the covers on! i figured that it was ADD so i didnt need to lock my hubs in. went wheelin one day, and i couldnt make it thru a big rut!!! :pat: hahaha so i had to drive to the nearest shop to have them removed! hHAHahHA

Churnd,
Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure I'll go with the 15x8s with a 32x11.5

Josh,
Your truck looks great. Thanks for posting the pic.

If anyone else has some pics I'd like to see more.

Thanks again

good choice. just make sure you get enough backspacing so the tires won't rub. even if they do, nothing a little fender pounding with a BFH can't fix.
